The Russian dictator said that “the monopoly of the West is ending” and a new world order is coming.
Now in the world “the moment of truth is coming,” the old world order cannot be restored. This is what Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session of the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi on Thursday, November 7.
“In a certain sense, the moment of truth will come when the old world order is irretrievably, one might say, gone And a serious, irreconcilable struggle opens for the formation of a new one,” the head of the Kremlin said.
According to Putin, “this is not a battle for power and geopolitical influence – this is a battle for the same principles on which the universe will be built.”
“The result of this struggle will determine whether it is possible to build a world order that will allow everyone to develop and, finally, allow a person to remain a person,” said the Russian leader.
According to Putin, “continuing, democracy is understood not as the rule of the majority, but as the rule of the minority, in his opinion, “has degenerated into a totalitarian ideology.”
“The blind faith of Western politicians in their own impunity and exclusivity can be a tragedy… In the policies of the United States and its allies, the principle “don’t take it from anyone” is increasingly noticeable , but this is a very dangerous formula… There is no talk of any hegemony in the new world order that is out of the question,” said the Russian dictator.
At the same time, he noted that “Russia does not see Western civilization as an enemy and does not ask the question “us or them.”
“The world needs Russia, and Brussels and Washington, who consider themselves the boss, cannot change this… The West tried to deal Russia a severe blow and isolate it from international politics and economy, but it has failed everyone in everything, we see a conflict in a very large part of the planet with a global minority that wants to maintain their dominance,” Putin emphasized.
The Russian dictator also added that “the monopoly of the West, any monopoly, will end sooner or later.”
“In the emerging multipolar world, there should be no losing country and peoples, no one should feel disadvantaged… International law is a product of agreements not between countries, but between peoples there should be no situation where the model of one country, even which is successful, is imposed on everyone else”, said Putin.
According to him, the world is changing, new centers are emerging, but “the coming world will not be simple.”
“It is useless to put pressure on us, but we are always ready to negotiate,” Putin concluded.
Let’s remember that the Kremlin once said that “Russia agrees with the need to establish a new world order, but the United States should not build it.”
