On October 31, Vladimir Zelensky fired Andrei Kostin from the post of Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky removed former Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin from the National Security and Defense Council. This is stated in the decree of the head of state, published on Wednesday, November 6.
“I decided to partially amend Article 1 of the Decree of the President of Ukraine of March 29, 2024 No. 193/2024 On the composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (as amended by the Decree of September 13, 2024 No. 627 /2024) to remove from the composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine the security and defense of Ukraine A. Kostin,” the document said.
The Decree shall enter into force on the date of its publication.
Let’s recall that on October 31, the president removed Andrei Kostin from the position of Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Kostin announced his decision to resign from his post after scandals related to prosecutors’ disability registration.
