Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Putin intends to visit the Turkish capital Ankara.
Turkey has started preparations for the visit of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to Ankara. Russian media reported this on October 28, citing a diplomatic source.
It will be noted that the date of the visit was not agreed upon.
“We are looking forward to this visit, we are preparing for it but so far no specific date has been determined,” the interlocutor said.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Putin intends to visit Turkey. According to him, the Russian leader informed his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the planned visit to a meeting at the BRICS summit in Kazan. The Turkish President said he expects the Kremlin leader.
Erdogan said that during the negotiations with Putin he “saw the desire of the Russian side to exchange prisoners of war with Ukraine.”
In September, speaking at the UN General Assembly, Erdogan said Turkey would step up its efforts to end the Russian-Ukrainian war through diplomacy and dialogue.
