The reform of social support for people with disabilities is designed to reduce bureaucracy and make it understandable to citizens.
The reform of the medical and social expert commissions (MSEC) will not affect social payments. Disability pensions will continue to accrue. This was said by the Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich on Facebook.
The official noted that false information about the reform of the MSEC and the social support system for people with disabilities has begun to spread on social networks.
Zholnovich emphasized that Ukrainians legally assigned a disability pension will continue to receive it.
“All citizens assigned disability pensions will receive all designated payments after the reform. No payments or guarantees to all citizens who legally receive them will be reduced,” he said.
The minister added that the reform is designed to strengthen support for those who have suffered injury or damage to health, speed up the provision of such support, reduce bureaucracy, and make the support system clear, simple and convenient during and after illness or injury to the citizen.
We remind you that after several high-profile corruption scandals in Ukraine, they decided to liquidate MSEC. President Vladimir Zelensky signed a corresponding decree. The duties of MSEC will be performed by the respective hospitals.
