In September, 146.9 billion UAH were used from the state budget. Military expenses are covered only by internal revenues and borrowing.
Expenditures of the general fund of the state budget for the security and defense sector for January-September 2024 amount to UAH 1.3 trillion, which is 57.6% of the total amount of expenditures of the general fund of the state budget. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance.
It was noted that in September 146.9 billion UAH were used from the state budget.
Funds are allocated to:

financial allowances for military personnel, private and commanding officers, police officers;

procurement of military/special equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense products, personal protective equipment (helmets, body armor and other special equipment), fuels and lubricants, food;

medical support;
-
other costs to support the activities of related bodies and formations.
The ministry recalled that security and defense remain an absolute priority and the largest expenditure item in the state budget. Military expenses are covered only by internal revenues and borrowing.
It was previously reported that the total amount of cash expenditures of the general fund of the state budget for nine months of 2024 is UAH 2.3 trillion, which is UAH 225.8 billion, or 10.7%, more compared to the same period last year.
We remind you that President Vladimir Zelensky signed a bill to increase the budget by UAH 500 billion for military needs.
