The prosecutor’s office of the city of Gliwice sent to court an indictment against farmer Piotr G. and his daughter Agata G., who, during a farmers’ protest in February in the city of Gorzyce (Silesia), hung a Soviet flag and a banner addressed to Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin on a tractor.
In February, they participated in a nationwide farmers’ protest in different parts of the country.
During the passage of a convoy of agricultural machinery in Gorzyce, on the front of the tractor in which the suspects were traveling, they hung a banner with the inscription “Putin, deal with Ukraine and Brussels, and with our government,” and attached a USSR flag next to it.
The Consul General of Poland in Lviv apologized to the Ukrainians for the actions of the Poles at the border.
“I thought that only Russians behave so shamefully,” wrote Eliza Dzvonkevich.
The Polish woman also recalled the events of the Warsaw Uprising of 1944, in particular, the refusal of Soviet troops to allow Allied aircraft to land on territory under their control.
The Consul General added that her statement does not concern the demands of the strikers, but a form of protest.
Shame and shame. Sorry, Ukraine, which is at war, I apologize,” she wrote on her Facebook page.
