A Levada Center survey shows that currently only 12% of Russian residents mentioned the Kursk region.
For several months in a row, Russian citizens called the “events” in the Kursk region the biggest event in September 2024, but now their importance for Russians has significantly decreased – 12% (40% in August 2024). This is confirmed by Lev’s survey data.yes centerpositioning itself as an independent organization.
Military actions in Ukraine were mentioned by 11% of respondents, events in the Middle East – 6%, drone attacks on Russian territory – 5%.
Almost half of the respondents could not name an event (no memorable event – 22%, 23% had difficulty answering).
Survey Levada Center was conducted from September 26 to October 2, 2024 among 1606 people. The study was conducted at the respondent’s home through personal interviews. The statistical error (with a probability of 0.95) does not exceed 3.4%.
Let’s recall that the authorities of the Kursk region said that the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the Kursk region allegedly “caused damage of more than 100 billion rubles.”
