The US President may meet with Vladimir Zelensky. But where exactly this meeting will be held is still unknown.
US President Joe Biden arrived in the capital of Germany, Berlin, to discuss further support for Ukraine with European leaders. Bild reported this on Friday, October 18.
The publication recalls that this visit should have taken place a week earlier: Biden planned to coordinate additional support for Ukraine with President Vladimir Zelensky at the Ramstein Air Force Base. But the visit had to be postponed due to the devastating effects of Hurricane Milton.
“Biden’s plan includes a meeting with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, which will begin today when Steinmeier will award the US President with Germany’s highest civilian award, the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit Olaf Scholz,” said the message.
French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer are expected to arrive in Berlin in the afternoon. The four leaders will discuss further support for Ukraine, after which Biden will leave Germany.
It is expected that the US President may meet with Zelensky. But where exactly this meeting will be held is still unknown. The day before, the Ukrainian leader was in Brussels, where he presented the Victory Plan at the EU summit.
Earlier it became known that instead of Ramstein, Biden will go on a short one-day visit to Germany, where he will meet with the leaders of the most influential states in Europe. Correspondent.net I thought about what to expect from this meeting in Ukraine.
