About 11 thousand North Korean troops are currently undergoing training in eastern Russia to participate in hostilities in Ukraine.

    .

Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated this in an interview with The War Zone.

They will be ready (to fight in Ukraine – ed.) on November 1,” Budanov noted.

According to him, North Korean troops will use Russian equipment and ammunition. The first unit of 2,600 soldiers will go to Kursk. It is not yet known where the rest of the North Korean troops will go.

We don’t have a complete picture now,” Budanov added.

Let us recall that recently information appeared in the media that Russia, on the basis of the 11th separate air assault brigade, is forming a “special Buryat battalion” staffed by North Korean citizens.
