The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine fell to 41.45 Hryvnia, and the euro fell to 45.30 Hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate strengthened slightly against the dollar and euro in the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Friday, October 18.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine decreased by 5 kopecks to 41.45 Hryvnia, and the euro decreased by 15 kopecks to 45.30 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 41.00 UAH, and euros for 44.50 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency was at the level of 41.19-41.22 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank slightly increased the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia on Friday for the fourth consecutive day – 41.2351 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.0095 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 44.7937 UAH (-0.1195 UAH).
Earlier it became known that the NBU will set the hryvnia exchange rate in a new way. The regulator presented a plan for moving to a – daily – basket of currencies to establish the official exchange rate.
It was also reported that in the past week the National Bank sold a record amount of currency.
