The enemy attacked Ukraine on the night of October 18 with Shahed-type attack UAVs and drones of an unknown type (launch sites: Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk). The Air Force reported this on its Telegram channel.
“At 08:30, the radio engineering troops of the Air Force detected and escorted 135 enemy drones. The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire group of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine,” the message said.
As a result of the battle, 80 enemy UAVs were shot down in the regions of Odessa, Sumy, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Zhitomir, Kirovograd, Chernigov, Poltava, Khmelnitsky, Rivne, Kharkov, Kherson, Volyn, Vinnitsa.
