Ursula von der Leyen drew attention to Ukraine’s significant progress in implementing reforms, allowing for further allocation of funds.
The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced the allocation of the next tranche of aid to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility mechanism at the end of 2024, the total amount of which is 50 billion euros. A European official said this at a press conference after the EU summit in Brussels.
The mechanism provides investments of 50 billion euros for four years, from 2024 to 2027, allocated in accordance with Ukraine’s implementation of the reform plan, he recalled.
“We see significant progress Thanks to the development of Ukraine, we have already allocated more than 12 billion euros.
Let’s recall that on February 1, EU leaders at a summit in Brussels agreed on a €50 billion support program for Ukraine called the Ukraine Facility. It is designed for the period of 2024-2027.
As we have already written, the Verkhovna Rada adopted an agreement with the European Union on the so-called Ukraine Facility Plan, which defines the reform obligations for the period until 2027, which is a condition for the next tranches of macro-financial aid from the EU totaling 50 billion euros.
