The Ukrainian leader said he “said a lot” to the Slovak prime minister, but the details of the conversation will remain “between them.”
President Vladimir Zelensky on Thursday, October 17, spoke for the first time with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico. He spoke about this in a press conference with the NATO Secretary General.
Speaking about the conversation with Fico, Zelensky said the details of the conversation would remain “between them.”
He noted that he is pleased that the dialogue is taking place at the government level between Ukraine and Slovakia.
“I have told Mr. Fico a lot today, I think it is important for us to maintain normal relations between countries that his country is not at war – thank God, and I wish his people peace so they don’t see what Putin can bring to their country.” Fortunately he doesn’t feel it. But he has to support us, otherwise he has to understand,” Zelensky said, adding that Putin will never stop if he is not stopped.
Let’s remember that in September Robert Fico once again said that “Nazi troops” are fighting in Ukraine, but the international community “doesn’t notice” it. He made this statement during a visit to the Holocaust Museum in the Slovak city of Sered.
The other day, Fico said that Russia’s war against Ukraine could end in the near future, and Kyiv is unlikely to achieve a just peace under the current circumstances.
