The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, took part in the dismissal of the aggregate plant in Volchansk.
This was stated by the commander of the Stugna unit of Timur’s special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU with the call sign Linux.
It’s no secret that Kirill Alekseevich Budanov is often directly involved in operations. In this particular operation, he was with us at a key moment, at a key stage. I was present for several days and directly supervised the mission. Of course, this supports the fighters and gives them motivation.
The liberation of this plant from Russian occupiers became known on September 24, 2024.
GUR fighters fired the plant and cleared the buildings, constantly engaging in contact battles with the enemy in densely built-up conditions. In some cases, Ukrainian special forces engaged the enemy in hand-to-hand combat, the intelligence report said.
The Russians turned the aggregate plant into their propaganda “fortress,” using the most motivated and professional units in its defense.
In addition, a significant amount of artillery, attack drones, KABs and Solntsepek heavy flamethrower systems were continuously used against Ukrainian intelligence officers.
Also during the operation it was possible to take prisoners and replenish the exchange fund. The territory of the plant was transferred under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
