The Office star Jenna Fischer has opened up about her battle with cancer

The actress shared the story of her battle with breast cancer, urging fans not to ignore regular medical check-ups.

Jenna Fischer, star of The Office, has revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. The actress shared her Instagram story in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

After a routine checkup revealed an abnormality in her left breast, Fisher learned she had stage 1 triple-positive cancer. She had a lumpectomy in January, but due to the aggressive nature of the disease, the actress underwent a course of 12 chemotherapy treatments and three weeks of radiation.

Jenna is now feeling better and encourages everyone not to delay testing, as timely testing can save lives.

It was previously reported that British King Charles III will suspend his treatment for cancer during important state visits.
