The TCCs are experiencing major mobilization problems, which casts doubt on the possibility of implementing the plans.
Ukraine needs to mobilize another 200 thousand recruits by the end of the year, but these plans are unlikely to be realized. The Times writes about it in relation to the Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Defense Roman Kostenko.
It was noted that Russia, according to NATO estimates, is recruiting about 30,000 troops per month.
“The 200,000 target may be increasingly necessary, but it is increasingly difficult to achieve,” the publication said.
An employee of one of the territorial procurement centers in Odessa told The Times reporter that his department is behind its goals.
“We are not mobilizing even 20 percent of what is needed. The Odessa region is one of the worst on the list,” he said, adding that on some days more than 100 calls were handed out, but only a few men responded.
In a conversation with a journalist, the man complained about a pattern of corruption, mismanagement and failure in his department, which made it impossible to achieve the goals. According to him, colleagues took bribes of thousands of dollars to fake dismissal from service.
On some days, more than half of the men who come to TCC have diseases incompatible with the service, such as tuberculosis, hepatitis or HIV.
We remind you that the MOU has announced a new format for summons – with a QR code that can be scanned through the Reserve+ application.
