The fighter jets hit Hezbollah’s central headquarters, located underground under a residential building in the Dahiyeh area of Beirut.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon. The army press service reported this on Saturday, September 28.
“On September 27, 2024, Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the terrorist organization Hezbollah and one of its founders, was removed by the IDF along with Ali Karki, commander of Hezbollah’s Southern Front, and other commanders,” said statement.
It is indicated that after receiving accurate intelligence data, the fighters launched a targeted attack on the central headquarters of Hezbollah, located underground under a residential building in the area of Dahiyeh of Beirut.
“The strike took place while Hezbollah’s senior commanders were running from their headquarters and carrying out terrorist activities against the citizens of the State of Israel,” the military said.
We remind you that yesterday a video of powerful attacks in Beirut was released. Some Israeli media reported that Nasrallah was killed as a result of the strike. Meanwhile, other sources close to Hezbollah said its leader is alive.
As you know, the Israeli military this week began a large-scale operation to strike Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. Hezbollah fighters, for their part, continue to fire rockets into Israeli territory.
