The list of weapons is still being finalized and could change later, US officials said.
Tomorrow the United States will announce the delivery of a new arms package to Ukraine worth $375 million. This is the largest aid package for Kyiv since May, Voice of America reported, citing anonymous sources on Tuesday, September 24.
“The package will likely include air-to-ground munitions for F-16 fighters, which will allow Ukrainian pilots to hit targets far from the front line and the Russian air defense range,” said of the report.
The new package also includes HIMARS ammunition, patrol boats, armored vehicles, 155mm shells, 105mm shells and TOW missiles.
However, the list of weapons is still being finalized and may change eventually, American officials said.
“Weapons are provided under the law on presidential powers, according to which the Pentagon can send aid to Ukraine directly from its military reserves,” the publication wrote.
Earlier, the media reported that Ukraine may receive a Joint Standoff Weapon (AGM-154) medium-range cruise bomb from the United States for F-16 aircraft. The bullets hit targets at a distance of more than 110 km.
We remind you that the Pentagon reports that the United States has $5.9 billion left within the framework of the president’s arms reduction powers.
