Alexandra Kovaleva published under several pseudonyms: Olesya Shepitko, Alex Schmidt and Sandra Flusterling. Since 1983, he has been a member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine and has written more than 50 literary articles, and also translated 13 books, including the works of Walter Zagorka and Manfred Schwab. His literary works include the collections Aubria, Steppe Lakes, and Autumn Pilgrimage.
In addition to her literary activities, Alexandra Kovaleva is a candidate of philological sciences and an associate professor at the Faculty of Foreign Philology of the Kharkov National Pedagogical University.
