A drug gang that remained from the Dvadtsatovskie cartel, which was liquidated last year, was exposed in the city.
In Krivoy Rog, a group of drug dealers who were part of the Dvadtsatovsky organized crime group were detained. The press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on Monday, September 23.
The organizer and three members of the criminal group were detained on suspicion of declaring that they were accused of committing crimes in the field of illegal drugs, as well as attempting to bribe law enforcement officials.
According to the investigation, the suspects, acting on assigned duties, bought large quantities of PVP and methamphetamine, which they sold in Krivoy Rog. They stored drugs in rented apartments and took orders through phone numbers.
Every month, illegal activities brought drug traffickers nearly 1 million Hryvnias in income.
In addition, an attempt by members of the group to bribe the head of the police department and a senior investigator for a kickback in the amount of 10% of the profits for “protection protection” for their illegal activities was documented. The police filed a complaint about the attempt to give them illegal benefits to the law enforcement agencies and then acted under their control.
Three members of the group were detained while handing over money to the police.
During a search of the suspects’ residences and vehicles, law enforcement seized nearly 100 slip bags of drugs, mobile phones, ammunition, rough papers, and $10,000 in cash.
The issue of choosing preventive measures for the suspect in the form of detention is being resolved.
We remind you that in the territory of Krivoy Rog in 2022-2023 there is a criminal organization, which includes several organized groups. They are engaged in illegal production and storage of psychotropic substances, which they sell in all regions of Ukraine.
In the past, accusations against more than 50 members of the Dvadtsatovskie organized crime group were sent to court.
We remind you that a drug gang, which includes law enforcement officers, will be tried in Dnepr.
