The Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine Nikolai Tochitsky held a meeting with Canada’s Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage Isabelle Mondoux, where they discussed important issues of bilateral cooperation. The press service of the Ministry of Culture reported this the day before, on September 21.
The parties paid special attention to the fight against disinformation, in particular, to countering the influence of Russian propaganda through the film industry.
In addition, the negotiators focused on the importance of strategic communications to resist Russian information attacks and build an objective picture of Ukraine’s history and culture in the world.
They also discussed the completion of the project for the construction of the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide in Kyiv, which is an important step in preserving the historical memory of one of the most tragic pages in the history of Ukraine.
