On the night of today, September 20, Russian invaders carried out another massive air attack on Ukraine.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian Air Force Command.
The enemy attacked:
- Donetsk region with three missiles of an unspecified type;
- Dnepropetrovsk region – by a guided Kh-59 air missile from the airspace of the Zaporizhzhya region;
- 70 attack UAVs of the “Shahed” type (launch areas – Russian Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Yeisk).
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the enemy’s air attack.
As a result:
- 61 attack UAVs were shot down:
- one Kh-59 guided aircraft missile was shot down;
- As a result of active counteraction by the Defense Forces, nine enemy drones were lost in several regions of Ukraine (no information was received about casualties or destruction).
Air defense was in operation in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Sumy, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Khmelnytsky, Nikolaev, Odessa and Kherson regions, the Air Force noted.
