As the American elections approach, celebrities are speaking out one by one to support the candidacy of Kamala Harris. Actress and activist Jane Fonda even went door-to-door in Michigan to the amazement of her fans.
At the age of 86, Jane Fonda is more involved than ever in the race for the White House. With the US presidential election set to take place on November 5, 2024, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris’ allies are more involved than ever in the campaign. And so it is with celebrities.
After Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, George Clooney, and Matt Damon openly voiced their support for Kamala Harris, it’s Jane Fonda’s turn to take a side. The activist was filmed going door-to-door in Michigan and giving the Ann Arbor resident an emotional hug, asking for her support.

“These are very important elections, I am doing everything I can. (…) I have never done it for the president, but it is the most important thing,” he declared. We must, must, must vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Waltz (his VP, editor’s note)” The visibly excited couple did not expect this intervention. “It makes me cry. Thanks for coming,” this Michigan resident replied.
“We cannot waste four years.”
Jane Fonda, as an ardent environmental activist, is not the first time she has publicly spoken out against Donald Trump. On September 11, during Jimmy Kimmel’s show, the 86-year-old actress openly attacked the man she calls “Orange man“. “When you vote, whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat, vote with the climate in mind. Vote for the candidate who will help create a vibrant future for your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Because the other one will burn us,” he said.
“We can’t waste four years,” he said at a conference earlier this week. We must cut our emissions in half by 2030. (…) If Trump is elected, we will go in the wrong direction. We cannot allow this to happen,” he concluded.
