The longer the answers to Armenia’s questions are delayed, the more likely we are approaching the point of no return, Nikol Pashinyan said.

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) threatens the security, existence and sovereignty of Armenia. The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan spoke about it, the website reports News-Armenia on Wednesday, September 18th.

“We have frozen our participation not only because the CSTO is not fulfilling its obligations to defend Armenia, but also because, in our opinion, the CSTO poses threats to the security, existence, sovereignty and statehood of Armenia, Pashinyan said. at the Second World Armenian Summit.

According to him, “many discussions are taking place” regarding the continuation of Armenia’s membership in the CSTO.

“I have stated before that we will resume our participation only when specific answers are given to the questions raised. After that, exactly two years have passed, not only have the answers been given, but it is also obvious that there are none. . And the longer they last and the more unbelievable the answers, the more likely every second we are getting closer to the point of no return and no one will have the legitimate right to accuse us of this,” he said.

Let’s recall that in February, Armenia suspended its participation in the CSTO. Pashinyan declared that Yerevan can no longer rely on Russia as its main defense and military partner.

And in September, Nikol Pashinyan confirmed that Armenia may leave the CSTO because some allies did not fulfill the treaty obligations and “planned a war against us together with Azerbaijan.”
