If elected President of the United States, Trump will prioritize resolving the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he would “use strength and wisdom” to resolve the war between Russia and Ukraine. He said this at the Yalta European Strategy YES conference, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“I know President Putin well, I know President Zelensky very well, and I think it needs to be done (resolve the war – ed.), and we must do it, and do it with strength and wisdom,” said he said in an address to meeting participants, recorded at the request of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Trump also added that the US presidential election was a major turning point in the war.
“In 53 days we have elections they will change a lot, including this war,” said the politician.
Let’s remember that Trump has previously said that he would “achieve negotiations” between Putin and Zelensky if elected.
According to Republican US vice-presidential candidate JD Vance, Trump’s plan may include the creation of a “demilitarized zone” in territories occupied by Russia. And Ukraine at this time had to refuse to join NATO.
