The draft contract also provides for the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. Three points left to go.
Armenia agreed on 13 points of the peace agreement with Azerbaijan, and two other points were partially agreed. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan during the YEREVAN DIALOGUE 2024 summit, Armenian News reported.
“You have heard a lot recently that 80% of the agreement has been agreed on this in various platforms more points, consisting of two sentences, have been partially agreed: one of the proposals is agreed, the other is not, Pashinyan said.
He noted that Azerbaijan was invited to sign the agreed text of the peace treaty.
“Armenia proposed to sign the agreement, receive a basic document, and then continue the discussion on other issues. For one of the agreed points, a mechanism was provided that would give both sides the opportunity to continue the discussion a joint mechanism,” said Pashinyan.
He emphasized that the project also provides for the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“I confirm my readiness to sign an agreed document on the establishment of peace and relations in the near future,” the prime minister said.
It was previously reported that the EU for the first time approved military support for Armenia.
Pashinyan said he does not need Russia’s mediation in negotiations with Azerbaijan
