The US Department of Defense confirmed that Russian units in the Kursk region “are trying to carry out some counter-offensive actions.”

The United States confirmed information about Russian attempts to conduct counteroffensive actions in the Kursk region, but called their scale “insignificant.” Pentagon spokesman General Patrick Ryder made the corresponding statement in a briefing on September 12.

“We see that at the current stage, Russian units are starting, trying to carry out some counter-offensive actions in the Kursk region,” he said.

However, according to Ryder, these actions are “insignificant.”

He added that the Pentagon is monitoring developments.

Let’s recall that President Vladimir Zelensky said that Russian troops have indeed launched a counter-offensive in the Kursk region, as the Ukrainian army expected.
