Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has caused damage to Ukraine’s medical infrastructure worth at least $7 billion. More than 100 Ukrainian doctors have died.
This was stated by Health Minister Viktor Lyashko at the conference United for Justice. Accountability for the Attacks against Civilian Objects, the Interfax-Ukraine agency reports.
Lyashko noted that 715 medical institutions were damaged or destroyed throughout Ukraine.
1,877 objects were damaged or destroyed:
- 1 thousand 657 damaged;
- 220 are completely destroyed and cannot be restored.
However, it is still impossible to obtain information about the state of hospitals in the uncontrolled territory.
In addition, Russia damaged in Ukraine:
- 876 pharmacies, 67 were completely destroyed;
- at least 20% of emergency medical vehicles.
