Contrary to what many fans imagined, Blake Lively was not on the Marvel set to bring Ladypool to life. Find out who was responsible!
Before the release of “Deadpool & Wolverine”, one of the biggest mysteries for fans was finding out who is the person behind the Lady Deadpool costume, a female variant of the Merc with a Mouth from an alternate universe.
During the film, the audience was able to recognize that the voice of the character’s interpreter, whose face was not revealed, was that of the actress. Blake Livelywife of Ryan Reynoldsthe star responsible for bringing Wade Wilson to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
However, fans were caught off guard by the revelation that, although the voice is actually from Blakein fact, the person present on the set was not the actress, but the stunt double Christian Bettridge. The information was revealed by the professional herself on her Instagram, where she shared an image alongside Wolverine’s stunt double behind the scenes of filming.
“Fun fact: when the first Deadpool came out in 2016, before I started my stunt career in earnest, I was so obsessed with the movie that I thought to myself that if they ever made Ladypool, I wanted to play her. Obviously, I had no idea that this would ever become a reality,” Christiaan wrote.
The third film in the Merc with a Mouth franchise, “Deadpool & Wolverine” continues the narrative of Wade Wilson on his journey with the X-Men. The film is still showing in theaters, while the first two films are available on Disney+. Check out the trailer!
