A grenade explosion occurred in the city of Lubny in the Poltava region.
The incident occurred at about 11:00 p.m. on September 8 near a supermarket on Monastyrska Street. An unknown man threw an explosive device at a group of people and fled. Three local residents aged 30-40 were injured and hospitalized. This was reported by the press service of the Poltava Region Police.
It turned out that the grenade was detonated by a 53-year-old local resident, his body with multiple wounds was found near the scene. Preliminary, he died from the explosion.
Law enforcement officers have already opened a criminal case on the grounds of a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 15, Item 1 of Part 2 of Article 115 (an attempted murder of two or more persons has been completed) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Part 1 of Article 115 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is also being investigated.
Let us recall that in August in the Kyiv region, a man threw a grenade during a conflict with his wife in a private house. As a result of the explosion, the woman died, and the attacker himself and his son were injured.
