Germany will transfer another 12 Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers to Ukraine.

    .

Germany, in cooperation with Denmark and the Netherlands, will also transfer another 77 Leopard 1A5 tanks to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced the provision of equipment during a meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format, Spiegel reports.

According to him, the cost of the transferred howitzers will be 150 million euros. Six vehicles will be sent to Ukraine this year, and another six next year.

As for the Leopard tanks, the allies want to transfer them to Ukraine “as soon as possible.”

Recall that the Pentagon announced that US President Joe Biden will announce a new military aid package for Ukraine worth $220 million on September 6. This will help strengthen the country’s ability to meet Ukraine’s needs.
