The Belarusian army organized military exercises near the Ukrainian border.
A concentration of military equipment has been noted in the city of Stolin in the Brest region of Belarus. Special Operations Forces servicemen have also been spotted in this city. The distance from Stolin to the border with Ukraine is about 12 km. This was reported on September 4 by the monitoring group “Belarusian Gayun”.
The presence of troops in the border town is reportedly related to exercises “to stop the activities of illegal armed groups.” Local media reported on the maneuvers.
Local authorities informed civilians that explosions and the movement of special equipment were possible during the exercises. Traffic was restricted on five streets in Stolin.
According to the monitoring group, training in Stolin is one “response” of the Alexander Lukashenko regime to the Ukrainian military operation in the Kursk region.
Let us recall that the monitoring group “Belarusian Gayun” reported that Belarus had transferred at least a thousand troops to the border with Ukraine after the start of the Ukrainian Armed Forces operation in the Kursk region. Several helicopters and attack aircraft were also sent to the Gomel region, as well as a number of units with armored personnel carriers, tanks and S-300PS anti-aircraft missile systems.
