On September 3, Parliament adopted as a basis a bill on military service during mobilization for persons under 25 years of age.
295 deputies voted for bill No. 11379-d. It stipulates that conscripts under 25 years of age who are recognized as unfit for military service in peacetime or partially fit for service in wartime are not subject to mobilization during martial law or may be called up for military service with their consent, the Verkhovna Rada website reported.
In addition, military personnel serving during mobilization and recognized as unfit for military service in peacetime or of limited fitness for service, and who have not reached the age of 25, may be discharged from military service to the reserve if they have not expressed a desire to continue military service.
As MP Irina Gerashchenko explained, there is currently a legislative conflict. Such men are registered, but there is no procedure for transferring them to the conscript register. The bill will allow for a deferment
