The prototype of the future serial model pushed more than 40 thousand kilometers and broke 25 world endurance notes at the same time.
The Mercedes AMG Concept GT XX Electric Prototype has set a number of world records in the Italy’s area of Nardo training. The most powerful success was the whole “journey” worldwide for 7 days, 13 hours and 24 minutes, though they initially planned eight days. Through this, the company means coming with the length of the equivalent of the Earth Equator.
The purpose of the marathon is to prove the reliability and endurance of the new AMG.EA platform, which will build serial sports carriers of the brand. The GT XX concept, which was fully demonstrated earlier, on arrival, maintained the speed of 300 km/h, which just stopped for ultra -construction charging with a capacity of up to 850 kW.
According to the company, the goal of the 8 -day “journey” was established in honor of Jules Verne’s novel “worldwide in eight days.”
Within eight days, two copies of the concept the AMG GT XX overcame 40075 km, each of them producing more than 3,100 circles on a highway 12.68 km long. At the same time, the discipline between the end between the two cars is only 25 km. Usually, prototyps drive more than 5300 km per day.
In addition to the main success, the electric sports car set 25 new notes, including the greatest distance, passed by a de -electrical car in 24 hours – 5479 km, which is 38% higher than the previous result.
Despite the heat up to +35 ° C, even in the shade, intense loads and ongoing operation, the power plant can withstand the marathon without failures. The project was attended by dozens of Mercedes-AMG specialists, as well as Michelin and Alpitronic Partners, who were responsible for tires and charging infrastructure.
