The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has seized cash seized during searches in the case of former Deputy Energy Minister Alexander Heil.
In particular, we are talking about $32,500 from Hale himself; $91,650 (40 thousand of which have been preliminarily identified as part of the undue benefit), 37,180 euros and almost UAH 3.7 million from the former director of the state enterprise Selidovugol Serhiy Kobylyatskyi, as well as UAH 9.77 million and $100 thousand (preliminarily identified as part of the undue benefit) from the managing director of Mykolaiv Electricity Supply Company LLC Yevhen Lut.
Currently, $142,000 of illicit benefit has been found, and another $158,000 is being sought. The investigation suggests that $9.77 million of Loot’s UAH may be this amount after currency exchange. They are still investigating.
On August 30, the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court upheld the preventive measure (detention) applied to former Deputy Minister of Energy Alexander Heil.
Hale was arrested on August 12 for receiving improper benefits for providing permission to remove mining equipment from a front-line area.
Having heard the arguments of the parties, the VAKS AP supported the position of the SAP prosecutor and rejected the appeal of the defense, leaving the decision of the investigating judge as before.
On August 12, the HACC partially granted the petition of the NABU detectives, agreed upon by the SAP prosecutor, and applied a preventive measure in the form of detention with the alternative of posting UAH 25 million in bail to the already dismissed Deputy Minister of Energy.
