The President of the Republic Kasim-Jomart Tokayev announced this on September 2, speaking in his annual message to the people of Kazakhstan at a joint meeting of the parliament chambers, media reports.

They believe that if Lake Balkhash begins to shallow, there will not be enough water to build a nuclear power plant there with a high-power reactor.
