The Netherlands is transferring 28 Viking tracked vehicles to Ukraine.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Ruben Brekelmans.
Ukraine desperately needs our help in the fight against the Russian aggressor. Our support for Ukraine continues to keep Russia at bay, Brekelmans said.
Vikings are armored amphibious vehicles weighing approximately 11 tons and moving at speeds of 65 km/h on land and up to 5 km/h on water.
The Viking Bandvagn S10 consists of two parts connected to each other. The vehicles can move on water at walking speed. They have been in service in the Netherlands since 2021. Now the country has decided to replace them with more modern ones.
