Today is Aviation Day – the day of all sky dwellers, the president emphasized and thanked everyone working for peaceful skies in Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky congratulated everyone whose life is connected with the sky on Aviation Day.
“Today is Aviation Day – the day of all who live in the skies, military and civilian pilots, engineers, technicians, industrial workers – each of you protects our state, ensures stability, and does all to ensure that Russian planes never appear in our country. Thanks to everyone who works for peaceful skies in Ukraine!” – wrote the president on social networks.
And the day before, the president fired the commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Before this, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the loss of the F-16 and the death of the pilot. This happened while repelling a large-scale Russian air attack on August 26.
