Former Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deputy Andriy Derkach, accused of treason, continues to maintain influence over the Ministry of Energy.
This ministry is even called “Derkach’s Ministry.” This was stated by the former head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Valeriy Kondratyuk in an interview with Natalia Moseychuk.
Even when he (Adriy Derkach – ed.) is in Russia and runs for office there from Astrakhan to the Federation Council, he still retains his influence on our ministries and departments. And all his henchmen are still in power, – said Kondratyuk.
He emphasized that the Ministry of Energy, which, according to Kondratyuk, is completely under the influence of the Russian agent, since the beginning of the war has been issuing permits to leave the country to Derkach’s closest henchmen, who leave Ukraine and never return.
In 2023, NABU and SAP sent a case to court against Andriy Derkach for high treason and illegal enrichment.
It must discredit Ukraine on the international stage, worsen diplomatic relations with the United States and hinder Ukraine’s integration into the European Union and NATO.
The investigation established that Derkach received no less than $567,000 for subversive activities against Ukraine.
Let us recall that in the spring of 2020, ex-regional Derkach released audio materials that allegedly testified to Joe Biden’s influence on the fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko. According to the deputy, one of the topics of the recordings concerns “receiving $1 billion in exchange for preserving the Burisma schemes and international corruption.”
He claimed that the recordings were allegedly dated back to 2015-2016 and that the issue was about the need to dismiss then-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who “investigated the Burisma case and contacted Biden.”
