Soldiers of the 80th Separate Air Assault Galician Brigade acquired the latest T-90M, four T-80 BVM vehicles and two T-72 tanks.
“I always dreamed of capturing a Russian tank,” one of the Ukrainian paratroopers shared in a video posted by the brigade.
So, he, together with the soldiers of the SBU, got a lot of new T-80 BVM around the city of Sudzha in the first days of fighting in the Kursk region.
According to the tank officer of the Galician brigade, the captured tanks will be a good substitute and strengthen the tank fist of the Lviv paratroopers in future battles with the Russians.
The official stressed that some captured tanks have low mileage and have almost recently come off the production line, while others are in need of repair.
We remind you that the media reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces captured the Russians in a cauldron in the Kursk region. The eastern border of the pocket, which may have housed around 3,000 Russian soldiers, was completely closed.
