Forbes analyst David Ax says that we are talking about the Kara-Dag brigade that once fought in Zaporozhye.
Ukraine has deployed one of its few offensive brigades, the Kara-Dag brigade, to the area around Pokrovsk. Forbes analyst David Ax said this in his article.
The Kara-Dag brigade, one of the offensive brigades of the National Guard, was formed in 2014. The brigade fought near Melitopol in the first days of a large-scale war and remained in the same place for almost two years. But now it’s been moved to the east, because that’s where the heaviest fighting continues, Ax recalled.
The analyst believes that others may be recruited in the Kursk region, where the Ukrainian offensive has not stopped in the fourth week.
“By increasing forces in the Kursk region and keeping them away from Pokrovsk, Ukrainian leaders are betting that the gains from their surprise invasion in the north will be more important to the outcome of the war than their potential losses in the east,” the analyst said.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said that the situation at the front in the Donetsk region is very difficult. At the same time, the territory of Ukrainian control in the Kursk region is increasing.
