For the first time since the start of a full-scale war, drones have attacked the Kirov region of the Russian Federation.
On Wednesday, August 28, drones attacked a storage tank for petroleum products. Specialized services are working at the scene of the attack. As a result of the raid, no one was killed and no fire broke out. This statement was made by the Governor of the Kirov Region Alexander Sokolov on Telegram.
However, Russian publics reported a repeated series of explosions in Kotelnich, Kirov Oblast. Eyewitnesses claim four explosions. The target of the attack may have been an oil depot.
Other details of the raid have not yet been released.
Let us recall that on the night of August 28, drones attacked the Atlas oil depot in the Kamensky district of the Rostov region. Two drones fell on the territory of the facility, which belongs to Rosrezerv. At least three fuel tanks caught fire.
It is now known that this oil depot was hit by GUR and SSO drones. This base is part of the Russian military-industrial complex and is directly involved in providing the occupation forces.
