Namejs 2024 military exercises will take place in Latvia

About 11 thousand military personnel of the country and allied forces will participate. In particular, military personnel from the United States, Estonia and Lithuania, NATO multinational battle groups belonging to the Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Land Forces, multinational brigades of NATO Headquarters Latvia, NATO Force Integration Unit Latvia and Canadian Forces Command Latvia.

Separately, the exercise will be supported by rapid reaction forces and representatives of NATO headquarters at various levels.

In order to improve and strengthen the ability to carry out tasks in the event of a threat, the Namejs 2024 exercise plans to carry out cooperation with the Operational Management Center of Civil Defense, especially with the State Chancellery, line ministries and their jurisdiction. institutions.

It was previously reported that in Moldova on Monday, August 5, the multinational exercise Fire Shield 2024 began, in which military personnel from the United States and Romania took part.

It has also been reported that military exercises have begun in Taiwan simulating military operations against the PRC.
