The security service detained an FSB informant in Kharkov who was spying on Ukrainian troops. The SBU reported this on August 26.
It was noted that the defendant tried to detect and send to the invaders the coordinates of the combat positions of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system that protects the airspace of the front-line city. He also searched for locations of forts and areas with the largest concentration of Defense Forces personnel.
“If they received the appropriate geolocations, the invaders planned to launch an air strike against them using guided bombs and missiles,” the SBU said in a statement.
According to the investigation, the detained Russian informant is a local driver of one of the grocery store chains in the Kharkov region.
To carry out an enemy mission, the defendant traveled around the city under the guise of transporting cargo in a company car and secretly recorded the locations of Ukrainian defenders. After the reconnaissance forays, he identified potential targets on Google maps, made a detailed description of them and sent them via messenger to his Russian curator.
The security service exposed the enemy informer in advance and detained him. The person involved was informed of the suspicion. He was taken into custody without bail. The traitor faces up to 12 years in prison.
We remind you that an FSB agent who hit a double missile strike in Odessa has been detained.
The SBU also reportedly detained an informant for the invaders, who helped them enter New York.
