Three Russian Shahed attack drones, which Russia used to attack Ukraine on August 26, flew into Belarus.
It is noted that last night, kamikaze drones of the “Shahed” type entered the territory of Belarus three times. This happened around 3.26, 3.33 and 4.14. Russian UAVs were recorded in the area of the Polesie radiation and ecological reserve, Bragin and Loevsky districts. This was reported by the “Belarusian Gayun” project with reference to monitoring Telegram channels.
It is noted that this time the Belarusians did not raise the aircraft of the Air Force. Another helicopter from the Machulishchi airfield and a fighter from the Baranovichi airfield took off at around 9:00 and were directed to the south of the country.
What happened to the Shaheds in Belarus remains unknown.
As is known, this is not the first time that Shahed has flown over Belarus. One drone flew 350 km over the country on July 13 and then disappeared. Two more drones flew into Belarus from the Zhitomir region on July 16. Then one of them flew more than 300 km, Belarusian fighters took off to intercept.
And on July 31, UAVs of the “Shahed” type flew into Belarus. A fighter was launched from “Baranovichi” at that time.
Let us recall that on August 10, self-proclaimed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that Ukraine allegedly violated the country’s airspace on August 9. According to him, at an altitude of 1.5 km and a range of 6.5 km, Belarusian air defense destroyed several targets over the country’s territory. After that, the dictator ordered the reinforcement of the Belarusian troop group near the border with Ukraine.
However, the monitoring group “Belarusian Gayun” stated that Lukashenko’s statement about the alleged downing of “Ukrainian” drones in Belarus does not correspond to reality.
