It is an honor for me to award the true legends of Ukraine today. We glorify all those who strengthen our warriors, strengthen them every day and inspire them. These are the people who glorify Ukraine, strengthening our defense and inspiring all citizens of Ukraine, the head of state noted.
As you know, the “National Legend of Ukraine” is an award of the president, founded in 2021, which honors those who defend the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine with talent and perseverance. The award is made of gold and has the appearance of a stylized flower, the petals of which are covered with blue and yellow enamel.
Traditionally, this award is presented before Ukraine’s Independence Day.
Let us recall that on August 20, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted in the first reading for a bill on depriving people of state awards for popularizing or promoting the Russian Federation.
