A 50-meter sailing ship with 22 people on board sank off the coast of Palermo (Sicily). It was reported by Reuters.
It is noteworthy that the British-flagged ship sank when a whirlwind and stormy winds developed in the area in the early hours of August 19.
On board the ship were two people with British-French citizenship, an Irish citizen, a New Zealander and a Sri Lankan, the rest were British.
The Coast Guard rescued 15 people, including a child.
