The 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Konstantin Ostrozhsky published a photo of night training of Ukrainian soldiers on its Facebook page.
It is noted that modern warfare involves night combat operations, so that a unit can unexpectedly attack an enemy at night, long and grueling training is required, during which:
- train the eyes and body to function effectively in conditions of limited visibility to develop sensations and orientation skills in the dark;
- learn to use modern surveillance equipment such as thermal imagers, night vision devices and sights.
But even with them, night operations require a high level of training and coordination from infantrymen, the brigade notes.
