In Ukraine, electricity consumption continues to grow due to the heat.
This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo.
It is noted that today, Monday, August 19, as of 9:30, the consumption level is 2.5% higher than on the previous working day – Friday, August 16.
This is due to the spread of heat across most regions of Ukraine, the company notes.
It is noted that yesterday, August 18, the maximum consumption was recorded in the evening – it was 3.3% higher than on Sunday, August 11.
Due to the growth of the power deficit in the energy system, today from 17:00 to 21:00, measures will be applied to limit consumption for all categories of consumers, except for critical infrastructure and enterprises that pay for more than 80% of imported electricity for their own needs. During these hours, one queue of shutdowns will be applied, Ukrenergo added.
