As of this morning, due to fighting and other factors, approximately 500 communities have been completely or partially without power.
In Ukraine on Monday, for the first time since July 29, electricity will be turned off for the population. It was reported by Ukrainergo August 19.
According to the company, this is a necessary step against the backdrop of increased electricity consumption due to heat in most regions of Ukraine.
“Due to the growing amount of power shortages in the energy system, today from 17:00 to 21:00 measures will be applied to limit consumption for all categories of consumers, except for critical infrastructure and businesses that pay more than 80% of the electricity imports for their own needs At this time A queue of closures will be applied,” said the message.
Energy workers are asking citizens not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time at night.
As you know, when oblenergos use one queue of closing schedules, it means 4 hours of restrictions per day, two queues – 8 hours of restrictions, three queues – 12 hours of restrictions , four queues – more than 12 hours of restrictions.
Today, due to fighting and other reasons, 498 settlements are completely or partially de-energized. Due to bad weather, there is a shutdown in Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
The fighting caused power cuts in Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev, Kherson, Sumy, and Kharkov regions.
Due to technical reasons, consumers in Vinnytsia, Sumy, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk and Zhytomyr regions are without power.
Today, Ukraine imports electricity from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Moldova with a total volume of 19,928 MWh, with a peak power of up to 1,234 MW in individual hours.
Export is not in progress and is not expected.
We remind you that August 18 Ukrainergo announced the return of blackout schedules. The company had earlier reversed the closures for the businesses.
